A friend narrates his  family story to  me :
Wizgoz, do you know my biological father is a chartered accountant? I didn't grow up and wasn't raised by him well enough to be detailed about what he's all about. But the man is a maths genius.

My mum has a TCII, BSc. (Delsu), MSc (U.I). No idea the courses she studied.
But do you know religion and superstitious belief ruined their union, altered the original plans and have shattered the destinies of my siblings and I? Well;
I pay a little too much attention, and even now holding conversations with them both, I've gotten to know more personal stuffs that I was too young to know back then.

Dad landed a job for then Peugeot and was doing well for himself. He built his first house in the village in 1986 and his house in Ejigbo Lagos, in 1992, a year after my birth.
In 1993, he landed a freelance contract for a company in Delta State and had to travel from Lagos. He had an accident along Ibadan expressway where a boy was killed. The whole occurrence cost him both the contract and his job.

Somehow, he got a job a lot sooner with Longman publishing company and seemed to be on his feet in no time. We were still living at Maryland then, but his job with Longman seemed to fetch him good money and he was continuing his house at Ejigbo at the same time he bought his first car. The year was 94'.

By 96', he had managed to buy two more cars and gave my mum one with a driver he paid. Mum was a full time housewife then. Later she began complaining of being idle and they started a CHALEX foundation, coined from their names; Charity and Alex.
All was fine until 97' when my elder sister, now late, fell terribly ill. Her sickness defied all medications and for the two years before she died, her medical bills mopped up finances and even had huge debts piling up.

All along, we had been devout catholics until my siblings later joined RCCG. But it seemed these churches were too gentle for my mum as she sort urgent spiritual revolution. Her prayer constantly was her not burying any other kids of hers.

Then she found MFM. And this is how trouble that was mild escalated terribly. The pastor in the Ejigbo branch told her my father was a ritualist and he had used my elder sister to renew his pledge. That his loss of job was as a result of non renewal. He further went on to say the coconut tree in my father's compound was evil and we shouldn't eat from it anymore. This is coconut we had been eating from since we moved in.

Meanwhile, my father was seeking his own spiritual assistance in white garment churches and they saw vision for him. They said 5 of his 7 kids alongside my mum, were witches sent to destroy him as he was the only well to do from his family.
That is how an MSc and an ICAN holder began ridiculing themselves in front of their kids for months until the final divorce and separation. Religious leaders manipulated two adults who had spent years in school so much they hated each other. Now my siblings and I were torn apart. It was now a tale of who was more convincing in their story.

I only narrated the lines that corroborated.
The fight against religious indoctrination and brainwashing is a personal fight for me. It is an experience with my shattered family that still haunts me until tomorrow. It is the fear that I'm surrounded by a lot of people who albeit their certificates and level of exposure are easily fooled and brainwashed by these vision seers, prophets and prophetess of doom, paedophile priest, fundamentalist Jehovah witnesses and so on.

I am scared. I am worried. If my father and mother after nearly 20 years of marriage with 8 issues can become worst enemies under the influence of religious and superstitious beliefs, how much more people who aren't related to me?
You may think rationality is being applied with faith these days, but I tell you, tales like people getting worked up over Tasha Cobbs doing a song with Nicki Minaj is how this sickness starts.

Then it escalates to pastors giving their congregation rat poison to drink, burning them to death, extorting them with seeds of faith and pastor's offering, to judging their decisions and actions. And the shocking thing is; THEY OBEY WITHOUT ASKING QUESTIONS. THEY AREN'T FORCED. THEY WILLINGLY SUBMIT THEMSELVES TO THESE DEHUMANIZING TORTURE.

Adults are the ones with lord's chosen armour rolling all over muddy waters with megaphones claiming to be going radical for jesus. Think for a second what such person is capable of should Lazarus Mouka ask him to torch down his house because witches are holding meeting on the roof, and you happen to be a co-tenant?

You may think people are becoming rational until a pastor mounts a pulpit and present responsibility as a marriage thing saying when you have a wife is only when you can be responsible, and at 35 or 37, being single makes you useless. And so you're pressured by these sermons to get into what you're not mentally, financially and emotionally prepared for and mess up kids lives on the long run. Birth kids to poverty, starvation and hunger.

Where would your pastor be then? How is the church helping men and women from 30 and 35 get employed and raise families? Your pastors are divorcing, priests are giving relationship and sex advice. What they claim never to engage in.

This is how we end up with so much mind chains that we can't freely express ourselves and human desires. Religious leaders demonize sex and make it an abomination until we catch priests in the inbox of our girlfriends begging them for sex.

Until an Otobo comes out open about your pastor licking plate and you still defend with the 'touch not my anointed' BS. How many priests and Reverend fathers have been caught with underaged boys and girls? They'll demonize everything to make you fit into their tiny mind controlling box.

They said high heels are demonic. They said human hair is evil. They said make up is Antichrist. So their wives come out looking like a blown up balloon in heavy shoulder padded skirt suits while they run after little girls with Brazilian hair high heels and miniskirts.  Who  is  cheating who?

What social impact has religion made other than tear people apart with segregation and condemnation? The catholics don't like Protestants. Deeper Life's sunday sermon is an indirect attack on christ embassy's lifestyle.

RCCG think winners are overdoing it. MFM says Lord Chosen don't serve the real god. Ordinary campus fellowship canvas for new members like political campaign. JW is in an entirely different league. Heard the other day of a JW who lost her life because of blood transfusion.

Now I tell you, the scarier thing is to think all is well until it happens to you. To grow fond of, fall in love with, build a family, start a business, make plans with a religious person whose pastor can call one day, sit him or her down, have a talk with them and see them bailout on all the plans you have made together.

People have called wedding off after years of courting because the pastor didn't like the man or woman or they didn't worship in their church. Contracts, admissions, business proposal and the likes have been retracted for faith and belief differences.

Some people are left shattered, desperate, broken, not good enough, hurt, lonely, broke, hungry, jobless because of your sick faith. Because you found claim to have found Christ on your wedding eve and he ministered to you that your spouse isn't the right person for you after years.

How do you think it isn't worrisome to be around folks who believe Isaac should have been killed for test of faith? People who can actually ridicule their mothers, Aunties and relatives because the pastor saw a vision and tagged them witches.

Olu Bunmi had been running a series for DV and rape victims and people had been supporting sharing their stories and commenting their thoughts, well wishes, prayers and goodwill messages. Until when she put out a post about Oyedepo, hell was let lose on her wall.

Religion sapped away every iota of common sense in most women on that thread as they took defence for their spiritual papa.
I am scared for my society. Scared of my environment and the kind of people I'm surrounded by.

I am scared I have lost and is bound to keep losing people who matter to me because of religious ignorance and overzealousness. I am scared I'll get hurt by people's insecurities and harms that would make them blame the devil, read psalm 21 and walk free.

I am scared that notorious criminals and psychopaths use churches as rehabilitation centers by answering altar calls and making confessions that should ordinarily land them in jail to serve a life term, but would be anointed and become a pastor while his victims lie in the dirt.

That people still give ill gotten monies to church and are glorified. That testimonies are coined from the inspirations of your fellow man's woes. I am scared there are still doctors, lawyers, professors and the likes who still believe faith in god is the solution to all these ills and unless the lord builds the house, the builders build in vain.

Worse, I fear that this message will be read, not processed, not regurgitated, but pass through your eyes and mind with the glaring truth nearly blinding you, but deep rooted indoctrination won't allow you think for yourself.

I fear for reasons too numerous to mention.

A lot of girls complain that guys walk away from them simply because, they refused giving them sex, some are even tempted to give away their virginity just to keep the guys

Let me be very blunt here...
Virginity may not be the real reason why the guys go away, yes, no doubt, there are several guys who want sex, and if they don't get it, they walk away...

The problem may not be the virginity or the sex...

The story of the Ten virgins in the Bible reveals that both the wise and the foolish were virgins; the other Five were not allowed seeing the bridegroom not because they were virgins or because they lost their virginity...

NO! But because they were foolish and they were called foolish because they had no EXTRA_OIL . And the EXTRA OIL here is CHARACTER!

Most girls do not have extra oil to sustain any relationship, while many brag about their virginity, that's all they have to offer.

Aside your virginity, what do you have to offer to a man?

 Can you support him spiritually?
Can you support him physically?
How about mentally?

All you do is demand money for bag , shoes, clothes , and outing, making him spend unnecessarily.

Have you ever sit him down, and you help him plan about his future?

Has he ever seen you as someone he can confide in?

How many times has he come being in a state of dilemma seeking advice from you?

Rather than jumping from one club to another.

And for the virgins,  they forget that virginity ends after the wedding, but EXTRA OIL continues...

Yes... Nobody is perfect...
We all have our bad sides...

Try to be a woman that a man will always regret losing for the rest of his life...

Be that woman that your man can never afford to lose to another man .

Build your man to your taste...
And stop looking for a ready made husband .

Force yourself on that rich dude that you didn't work with to achieve what he has...,
And hear the story of your life from him one day .
Did You Work With me to achieve all I've got?
Ever since you've entered this house... What has added to what you met?
There's just nothing as best as building up your man yourself.
And you will forever earn his respect.

I hope this piece of advice is useful to all singles and married?

A young lady sat in  public transport: an elderly grumpy lady came and sat by her as she bumped into her with her numerous bags, the other neighbor got upset, asking the young lady why she did not protest and insist on her rights: she responded with a smile: " It is not necessary to be rude or argue over something so insignificant! "
I ll alight at the next stop, our journey together is so short, replied the young Lady "

Here's a response which deserves to be written in Golden letters in our daily behaviours and everywhere:

It is not necessary to argue over something so insignificant, our journey together is so short !

This keeps touching my heart and sets me thinking.

If everyone would realize that our passage down here has such a short duration and; to darken it with quarrels, futile arguments, unforgiveness, ungratefulness and bad attitudes would be a waste of time and energy.

Did someone break ur heart?
Be calm, the journey is so short !!

Did someone betray, bully, cheat or humiliate you?
Be calm, forgive, the journey is so short !!

Whatever penalty anyone serves us, let's remember that the journey TOGETHER is so short...

Let us therefore be filled with Gratitude and Sweetness.

Sweetness is a virtue never likened to bad character nor cowardice, but better likened to greatness!

Our journey together down here is really short and cannot be reversed...
No one knows the duration of his/her journey !!

As we wake up to see each daylight, millions of people: young, old, mid-age somehow get to their respective bus stops and must alight.

We all pray to live long.
And I pray for you reading this post; that you shall live Long and fulfill God's purpose for you on earth
But REMEMBER, the journey is so short.

No one knows when they will get to their last bus stop where they will have to alight !!
Meditate on this my brethren.
The journey is so short, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, or 150 years all start with one day.
We surely know how many years we have spent, but do u know how many more you have to spend? 1, 5, 10, 15, 20 or 99 yr(s), months, weeks or days, hours, minutes or seconds.
The journey is so short.

Therefore, cherish and hold on to Friends, Family and the People around you!
Be calm,
be respectful,
be kind, and  be thankful.
Love God; hold no offence.!!
Be Forgiving !!
The journey is so short!

No matter what anyone has done to hurt you, always remember that: " it is so insignificant."
Be quick to forgive.
Hold no grudge; the journey is so short.

Never forget that however long we pray to live ;
The journey down here is so so short !!
Everyone will account one day therefore make each day count.

May Almighty God bless us all. Always Remember the Journey  is so short.''

CONNECTIONS) ....  No matter how you are Gifted and fully loaded with great Potential inside of you but as long as you are not moving in the same pace both as a couple in the things of the spirit and physical with either your husband or wife you will not operate at your best capacity levels of influence in life..... For if two of you are said to be joined into one flesh then it means we have what is called a one marriage body....? The
mind inside the marriage body contradicts with the heart.... Your hubby is the mind and you are the heart.... Both hands want to stress points at the same time during explanations due to different influence from the heart and mind and other body parts are divided over the two.... The mind wants t forget but the heart cant forgive.... and When the other leg feels like it needs to walk faster the other wants a slower pace.... Its a discord indeed..... a marriage disorder.... And such a set up is highest influential in confusion ......

My name is Ukennaya Wisdom Chigozie( Wizgoz) and I'm 20 years old plus other things.
In some ways I am a university Student and responsible for projects that suggests I should always be in a suit and seated behind a desk. I do have a desk and I have three phone lines I answer. I also have both suppliers and partners I need to report to. I am looking forward to the opportunity to do my masters  in education just so I can write a real academic paper on "The Theory of Nothing" - hopefully this paper will diffuse the illusion created by science that everything came from nothing.

So why am I telling you this?

Despite what I am and what I do I also see myself as a seller. I have sold all kinds of items and recently I am selling shirts. These are beautiful shirts made for men who love to express themselves through dress. I am working on a brand and all is going wonderfully well.
I always need help to get to new places and due to that I'm always offering jobs to my young friends. I don't know why more shirts are sold when females sell but I do know how many of the high school graduates wanting jobs look at me when I suggest they come work with me.

At that moment when they tell me of their need of a job to that moment when I offer them one they look at me with reverence but the moment I tell them "you'll be going to offices to sell shirts" they get bewildered. The most frequent answer is "you want me to sell like a common trader?"

What is it about our education that makes a girl of 15-18 years think she's so special that she can't sell like a common trader? Education is meant to make us think and solve problems. If you have ever been educated in school you would see a job not as a momento of prestige but a token to help you leap higher. A job is to make you money to help you live the kind of life you want to live.

A "broke" and unemployed friend suggested just the other day that we buy pork 500 Naira (that isn't much money but if you're in Nigeria and you've seen how 1 dollar is aspiring to be equal to 500 Naira you'll think twice about eating pork because you feel like it); so I suggested that as she just comes to sit out at night she should consider investing that 500 Naira into selling oranges. She didn't take it well and gave me one of those looks only women can give and said "a whole lady like me to sell oranges". It's funny how "a whole lady" can then turn around after eating pork 500 Naira and ask me for 1000 Naira to help her submit an application letter.

Are you educated or you're just schooled? I accept that the environment doesn't always reward initiative but I also know that you never know if you'll be rewarded unless you make an initiative.
You can sit home and make love to the paper you got at school or you can "burn" that paper and make a living by working like a "common" person.
You can stay home and admire the certificate hanging on the wall or you can walk the street admiring the currency in your pocket.

Some will suggest you give and some will suggest you kill the spirit keeping you from getting a job - all such may work but what do I know of such. What I know is if you'll just get rid of the idea that you're too special for life and pull in all your brain neurones you'll come up with a way to make money that is unique to you.

Sometimes when I feel too common and not happy with sales made in offices I walk the streets and markets. People walk up to me and say "are you not that preacher or that man who came to talk to us" or "I know you somewhere - you work with so and so people" and i say yes and love the look on their faces. I have a pastor friend who told me it's beneath a preacher to sell and I told him it's beneath Scripture to think God will make manna fall into my cup.
This is Africa and this is a land that you need to fight to conquer. Pray and trust God to help you succeed but also prove your education by creating a job for yourself.

Do you know the reason why Finland became  education leader?

1. A guy met one of his school mates several years after school and he could not believe his eyes; his friend was driving one of the latest sleek Mercedes Benz cars. He went home feeling awful and very disappointed in himself. He thought he was a failure. What he didn't know was that his friend was a driver and had been sent on errand with his boss's car!
2. Rosemary nagged her husband always for not being romantic. She accused him for not getting down to open the car door for her as her friend Jane's husband did when he dropped her off at work. What Rosemary didn't know was that Jane's husband's car had a faulty door that could only be opened from the outside!
3. Sampson's wife went to visit one of her long time friends and was very troubled for seeing the 3 lovely kids of her friend playing around. Her problem was that she had only one child and have been struggling to conceive for the past five years. What she didn't know was that one of those kids who was the biological child of her friend had sickle cell and had just a year to live; the other two are adopted!
4. Life does not have a universal measuring tool; so create yours and use it.Looking at people and comparing yourself with them will not make you better but bitter. If you know the sort of load the chameleon carries, you would'nt ask why it takes those gentle strides. So, enjoy what you have and be grateful to God for it. Not all that glitters are gold, live and be happy with what you have, everyone is going through one thing or the other, AT your own time God will Bless you!

There is he that makes himself rich but has nothing at stake and he that makes himself poor but is rich..... ? But though time and chance happens to them all when it comes to getting broke or rich at different occassions but i can assure you that It costs much to be a polygamist than being dedicated to one wife and it requires a lot financial stabillity to commit yourself to more than one wife when it comes to expenditures than profitable income....have you done you own marriage budget breakdown figures...?  I have never seen an Adulterer who has disposable income in his own bank account status though he is rich....? Every dollar he has is meant for a certain expenditure to either wives he has..... Had you been faithfull to your one and only first wife you would not be struggling in vain to make ends meet by supporting another family through mantainance funds.... ? Have you calculated how much a small house takes from you on a monthly basis....? Is that not enough money to take your kid to a better school....? How much have you lost more than what you ought to have gained so far financially.... Not all woman are a burden when it comes to expenses and that now excludes a Prostitute and includes your wife but anything outside marriage influenced by Adultery needs its own monetary Policy Budget order..... ? You will not be free until you practise faithfullness to one woman..... It also determines the financial circulation flow and order of your money.....

The level of disrespect you are currently getting from your wife is beyond the capacity level of you being honoured as the man of the house ....? Your marriage has reduced you to less than being a man .... Its now filled with a lot of selfish actions between the two of you as a couple and non of you is humble enough to ask each other for forgiveness for the two of you to make up after every fight you do......Both of you have a serious capacity level of pride..... You sustain each other with filthy dirty lies that have become the source of a false comfort zone for the two of you in a broken marriage set up.... Yet the truth is you are not in love anymore.... You have no respect for each other at all... Sometimes you shout at each other in public making fools out of each other... Your ambitions and desires as a couple for your marriage are supported by self centered opinions and decision .... How long will you keep this as a secret whilst pretending to be in peace yet living under marriage house arrest..... This misery and emotional constraint in your marriage has gone beyond unreasonable levels of being fixed overnight..... You need deliverance.... Just humble yourselves and stop being foolish....
Wisdom is the ability to  apply knowledge  and experience to  any given  situation.
Someone who is consistent, they must have the point on the board.
Courage is not the absence of fear: it is the mastery of it.

 IF  NO  BE  GOD,  hmmmm

In order to show my kids who is in charge, I have had to overrule my wife's decision a few times on almost every aspect of our family life, not in a malicious way though. Just enough to show the kids that I am in charge and my consent or refusal on any issue is final. Even when she says no, the kids will file an appeal with me, I will tell my wife to let them go, and even when she disagrees with me, she will still consent, telling them that if your dad says it's ok, she can't say otherwise. She always tried to maintain the hierarchy of leadership so the kids can see and learn. Kudos to her

One day I over heard the kids plotting to go to the cinema, the youngest one told them to tell mummy  first, I know she will say no, then we can ask daddy and tell him mummy said no, he will most certainly always say yes and then mummy must obey, she won't have a choice.  I was flabbergasted, she was just 11 years old at the time.  It suddenly dawned on me that I have been played, beaten hands down by my own kids. So when they came to ask my permission, I told them it was up to their mum and whatever she says is final, I cant do anything about it. The look of shock on their faces was priceless. From then on, I became the parent who didn't have absolute powers any more, we became a team, she did the vetting because she is more thorough and hands-on, she knew each of them more deeply than I did, it was harder to play her. Once she has vetted, she will recommend approval or disapproval and I will act accordingly issuing the final approval or rejecting the appeal. All the things they used to get away with when I was solely in charge became more difficult or impossible.

The moral of the story is simple, empower your wife for effective control of your home, we are too busy battling to make a living, we can't multitask, however women were created with the capacity to multitask, they can be successful at work and at home. An empowered woman will be respected by your children thus making it easy for her to teach and mentor them. The kids will pick up the slightest signs of disrespect and subjugation of your wife and build on it, this may make it more difficult for her to properly groom them in your mostly unavoidable absences from home. We should always ensure that our wives are not ridiculed or subdued before the children, a wife should be seen as a strong and indispensable component of the family unit.

The kids must see and know that we love and respect their mother and will support all her decisions. They must know that the house is hers, and that getting favours from daddy is dependent on mummy's approval. Total authority should rest on her especially if she is a homely and virtuous mother. She knows the kids better than you, she shares a special bond with them and will punish them without emotions when they do something wrong. Ensure that the kids especially your daughters see her as the final say in almost all their affairs,  her decisions concerning them whether we like it or not will always tow the line of reason. Most daughters won't like their mum until they become adults, because she loves them and punishes them with the same amount of passion when they err.

I am sapiosexual , so I believe intelligent and powerful women make better wives and most especially mothers. I'd rather have a well accomplished woman mentor my kids than a subdued and voiceless woman, the later can only transfer her bitterness and frustration to the kids. A powerful and accomplished woman boosts her daughters' confidence and gives them a befitting role model -
